Original Abstract Wall Art for Your Home, Office, or Interior Design Project

Vicki Zahand Abstracts offers original abstract wall art for people who want their space to feel personal, expressive, and alive. Each painting is one-of-a-kind, built up in layers of color, complexity, and emotion that can never be recreated from piece to piece.

One finds Vicki’s art typically at home in living rooms, bedrooms, offices, and corporate spaces, anywhere a room needs color, character, and a story to tell.

The Artist …

Vicki Zahand has painted intuitive abstract expressionism for over a decade. Her work reflects life experience, emotion, and the deeply personal, inspired by the beauty of imperfection.

In her art, as in life, it is the messy places, the mistakes, the good and the bad, parts you could never recreate and wouldn't want to, that come together to make a masterpiece of a life well-lived. Her original abstract wall art will grace your home with color and style that reflect your uniqueness and how you live.

I love Vicki’s eye for the unique and abstract that she expresses in her art. Her love of painting is evident in each brush stroke and within the shapes and lines of her designs.
— Shelley Waters, The Woodlands, TX
I knew the moment I saw the painting ‘Electrifying’ I knew I had to have it. It spoke to my soul in a manner few paintings ever have. ... A number of years have passed and I still love my painting ... and it still speaks to my soul.
— Susan Walker, Georgetown, TX

The Studio, Unfiltered: Vicki on Her Process

When I start a painting, I rarely have an image of the end in mind. I paint intuitively. I let the paint, the colors, and the tools lead me.

I begin by choosing a palette, typically three or four colors, and start making marks on the blank canvas. That first layer is rarely visible in the finished work. Most paintings have no fewer than three to six layers of color on them.

Each layer builds on the last, building up and yet uncovering what lies beneath, creating depth and complexity that can never be recreated from piece to piece.

As the work develops, I begin to imagine where it will live. I see rooms and furniture in my mind, the mood and the light, whether it's a bedroom or a boardroom, a home or a corporate lobby.

I pray over each piece as I work, that the Lord would send it to its intended destination and that it would speak the right message to whoever receives it.
